Always on

This project successfully funded on 7th June 2026, you can still support them with a donation.

Aim

To ensure no one faces an empty cupboard alone by providing food, support and a safe space during financial crisis.

When cupboards start to empty, it’s rarely just about food.

It might begin with a higher than expected bill.
A delay in income.
A change in circumstances no one planned for.

Then the pressure builds.

Food is one of the few things people can cut back on. Meals are stretched. Portions get smaller. Parents go without so their children can eat.

And eventually, cupboards sit empty.

But alongside the empty shelves comes something heavier - stress, anxiety, and the feeling of not knowing what to do next.

Who we are

We are Perth and Kinross Foodbank, supporting individuals and families across our community who are facing financial hardship and food insecurity.

In 2025 alone, we supported over 8,700 people - and we are seeing increasing levels of need and complexity.

Why this matters

Every day, we meet people who are doing their best to manage - often juggling multiple challenges including debt, delayed income, insecure work or changes in family circumstances.

By the time someone reaches us, they are often carrying far more than hunger.

What we do

We provide emergency food when it is needed most.

But we also offer something just as important - a calm, welcoming and inclusive space where people are treated with dignity and respect.  We take time to listen, to understand what is happening, and to connect people with wider support.

Because what people need in that moment isn’t just food.
It’s stability.

A familiar story

When we met one local mum, she had recently become the sole carer for her two daughters. She wasn’t working, and suddenly everything rested on her shoulders.

She tried to stretch what she had. Skipping meals. Making food last. Holding things together for her children.  But the pressure built, and eventually her cupboards were empty.

At the foodbank, she received food - but also time, understanding and support.

“It wasn’t just the food. It was having someone listen, without judgement. It made me feel like I wasn’t on my own.”

What your support will do

Our vision is to be a steady, reliable presence in our community - responsive in moments of immediate need, but also helping people find stability and a way forward.

Your support will help us keep essential food and household items on our shelves, maintain a safe and welcoming space, and provide the time and care needed to respond to people facing complex challenges.

Together, this allows us to provide more than a meal - offering stability when life becomes uncertain.

Together, we can make sure no one faces an empty cupboard alone.

Every contribution makes a difference.

£10 keeps essential items on the shelf
£20 supports someone through a difficult week
£50 helps provide the stability and support people need most

If you can, please give today.
