Aim
Raise funds to refurbish and upgrade the Children's kitchen, increasing cooking sessions that promote healthy eating habits in children
After the success of last year’s event, we are excited to announce that on Friday 22nd May 2026, Nine Mile Ride Primary School will be hosting our own TCS Mini London Marathon for all pupils and staff.
This event is designed to promote health, fitness and school spirit whilst raising funds for us to be able to re-vamp the children’s kitchen, so we can start to include more cooking opportunities for the children and advocate for healthy nutrition.
The Mini London Marathon course will be set around our school grounds. Those that wish to, can run/walk the full 2.6 miles individually, others can complete the run/walk as a pair, group or class.
For example; 2 children running together complete 1.3 miles, giving the total of 2.6 required.
This may look different for the younger age groups and class teachers will adapt as necessary.
Please ensure your child has a water bottle and hat in school on the day of the marathon.
We have had fantastic successes in our cross country running this year, winning the Thames Valley Running League Division 2 and therefore being promoted to the top division and thought this would be a great event to encourage and promote others to get outdoors and go for a run/walk.
To make this event a success, we invite parents and families to sponsor their children’s participation.
