Aim

Help us bring NightBlazr, a patented cycle helmet light with true 360 degree visibility, into production and onto UK roads.

The problem

76% of cyclists say visibility is their biggest safety concern once it gets dark. Most helmet lights only face one direction, front or rear, leaving riders exposed from the side exactly where drivers need to see them most.

The idea

NightBlazr is a patented helmet light built to solve that properly. It attaches to any existing cycle helmet through the ventilation slots, no tools, no modification, and gives genuine 360 degree visibility for the first time, white to the front, red to the rear, visible from every angle. It runs for 15 or more hours on a single charge and is fully weatherproof.

It's already picked up four international design awards, most recently a Platinum at the Tokyo Design Awards, and holds granted utility patents in the UK and US.

About me

I'm Jason, the founder. My background is in design, at Reuters and then as Creative Director at ZOO Communications, and NightBlazr grew out of my own experience of feeling unseen on the road after dark. I built the first version, sold out an initial run, and have spent the time since refining the product into what it is today.

Where your money goes

Your support goes directly towards completing production tooling and scaling manufacturing, so we can get NightBlazr into the hands of the cyclists who need it, and keep more people safe and visible after dark.

Why now

We're already in active conversations with established helmet manufacturers about bringing NightBlazr to a much wider audience. Backing this campaign gets you in early, and helps make the next stage of that happen.
