Please support me as I cycle 500km through Malawi to raise vital funds to support the work of African Vision Malawi.
After a 2 year absence we can at last get back to Malawi for our annual cycle ride: 500km from Blantyre to Sam's Village over 6 days.
AVM works with and through communities to develop long-term and sustainable solutions to the welfare of orphans and vulnerable people in four key areas: self-sufficiency, health, education and water and sanitation.
As you can imagine since the start of Covid most fundraising activities were cancelled or postponed, so I'm delighted to have this opportunity to boost the funds and support the vital work the charity does in Malawi.
We cycle up to 100km a day, on a variety of terrain, mainly flat but some very hilly, engaging with local people as we travel and seeing the wonders of Malawi including its magnificent lake.
The money you donate will support the programmes including training marginalised people so that they can work, supporting women in maternity, and a special needs unit for people with disability. All of the cyclists taking part are paying their own costs to participate; all of the monies raised go direct to the charity.
Thanks in advance for supporting me with this, your contribution is truly life changing.
