We're moving and need help to build a brand new studio so our hundreds of volunteers can continue to broadcast to our local audience.
We need funds to help build new studios in Battersea for our communtiy radio station Wandsworth Radio. We've been very happy in our current home for the past two and a half years. However, the building has been sold and will be transformed into luxury flats!
After a long, difficult search we have mananged to find a new space in Battersea and need to build the studio and fill it with the latest broadcast equipment which will help our hundreds of volunteers to continue to broadcast interesting, thoughtful, exciting and entertaining programmes for the people of the London Borough of Wandsworth.
We need a new mixing desk for our main studio so we can improve our station sound and be able to carry out outside broadcasts from across the local area wityh ease. We are also building a small second studio which will transform our news operation with facilities to broadcast phone interviews and pre-record features for our programmes. Our new equipment and studio will help more local people be trained in media and journalism skills.
