We're still collecting donations
On the 4th December 2023 we'd raised £2,139 with 32 supporters in 56 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.

On the 4th December 2023 we'd raised £2,139 with 32 supporters in 56 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
Newport FC is now a community owned club - owned by the fans in the guise of the Newport Supporters Trust. The club has a history dating back to 1888, and you can find more about our history on our website
We are waiting for developers to build our new ground, but this season there is a great spirit amongst our management team, our players and supporters.
Being a homeless football club is expensive. We pay rent at Beatrice Avenue, East Cowes, (money going out) we don't generate the money that owning our ground brings in such as takings from the bar and catering. (less money coming in).
We want to support our present campaign at all levels of the club - our first team, our reserves and our youth teams, and also invest in the future of the club. We want to support to improve our players fitness with gym time and physio support. We want to ensure youth coaching at our younger age group teams are properly supported and we are able to bring through the players of the future.
We also want to ensure we have a cushion to build both a reserve and to cover the regular expenses of running our first team and make our contribution to our ground share in the second half of the season. There are expenses such as referees/officials fees (now sometimes over £200 per game), training ground hire, laundry etc that all mount up.
We also want to make sure our players are not out of pocket because they play for us.
To help the team in the second part of the season and to ensure we bring through the Newport players of tomorrow and to make sure there isn't a cost to playing for our club.
Newport IW FC is majority owned by the Newport Supporters Trust; it is a football community owned club. And we are very community orientated. We collect for local foodbanks at our home games. In addition we host local charities at some of our games and have reduced priced entry different groups. We recently had half-price entry for NHS workers.
There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!
2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.
3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!
4. Fundraise for us. If you want to run your own fundraiser – maybe a sponsored activity or similar – use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
