We're still collecting donations

On the 6th January 2021 we'd raised £416 with 25 supporters in 28 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.

New stretch target

Royston Town Centre Half and firm fan favourite Adam Murray is cutting his trademark hair in aid of the Royston Town FC In The Community Program. Muzza hopes to raise £300 to help the Community Programme continue their highly valued work in Royston and the surrounding area.

What is the Community Programme?

It''s always been the Club's ambition to make Royston Town FC a focal point for the town and something to be proud of. Whilst we have made incredible progress on the field we wish to see our interaction with our local community outside of football, match that progression.

We work very closely with Royston Town Youth FC, offering all 536 players complimentary season tickets and we've invested in developing Women's football and now have two successful senior sides, a Female Development Centre and a growing number of Youth sides. However, our connection with children outside of football has been very limited. The sale of former Royston Town goalkeeper, Will Norris, from Cambridge United to Wolves, resulted in a cash injection for the Club and a large proportion of this money was invested into setting up a Community Sports Programme for the benefit of the whole town.

Whilst football will always be our main focus, our intention is to interact with the town’s youngsters and encourage every child to take up sport or physical activity in one form or another. As parents and responsible adults, we owe this to our children and Royston Town FC will play its part in making that happen.

What does the Community Programme offer?

  • School Holiday courses
  • PE curriculum support
  • Extracurricular clubs
  • School Assemblies
  • PPA Cover
  • Anti-Bullying projects
  • Education projects
  • Tiny Tots activity programme

Why are we using Crowdfunder?

Crowdfunder is waiving its platform fees for community and charity funding projects during the coronavirus crisis. The Covid-19 epidemic could affect millions of people in the next few weeks. These are unprecedented times but together, we are stronger, and the response is coming from communities across the country. Volunteer groups are springing up to tackle the logistical problems faced in our communities – but they need urgent support. That's where we come in.
