The Challenge We're Facing
For over five years, Surf Therapy CIC has been transforming lives through the healing power of the ocean. From our base in Swansea and Gower, we've supported countless individuals facing mental health challenges, using surf therapy, ocean therapy, and blue health coaching to improve wellbeing across our community.
But there's a problem that's threatening our ability to continue this vital work: our vehicle is failing us.
Our current van has been the lifeline connecting people to the therapy that's changing their lives. It carries surfboards, wetsuits, safety equipment, and most importantly – it brings people from their darkest moments to the healing waters of the Welsh coast. But after years of loyal service, it's becoming increasingly unreliable and expensive to repair. We're now facing the very real prospect of not being able to get our surfers safely to their sessions.

For many of our participants, these sessions are a lifeline. The combination of physical activity, nature connection, and supportive community creates powerful therapeutic benefits that complement traditional mental health support.
Without reliable transport, we simply cannot deliver these life-changing sessions.
What We Need
We're raising funds for a dependable replacement vehicle that will:

- Serve our community for many years to come

Surf Therapy CIC is a not-for-profit Community Interest Company established in 2019. We work closely with healthcare professionals, support agencies, and the local surf community to deliver ocean-based interventions that improve mental and physical wellbeing.

- Cold Water Therapy – harnessing the mental health benefits of cold water immersion
