We need to buy a new tractor to replace our 30 year old one which is unfortunately irreparable after breaking down.

Who are we?

We at Kidmore End Cricket Club  are proud to welcome cricketers and cricket watchers from our local area and the wider Thames Valley. We have been at our picturesque ground located just north of Reading since just after World War II although the club is older than that having been founded in 1863. We attract players from South Oxfordshire and the Greater Reading area who come to play in our various teams from the U9s to the 1st XI. We are a real community hub for the village of Kidmore End and in the summer on a Friday evening around 120 young people come to practise their cricket skills whilst parents and local people enjoy the club bar and food vendors. We have Junior Boys and Girls teams from U9 to U15, a Womens Team and 4 Saturday Teams who play in the Thames Valley League a Sunday Team who play in The Berkshire Blast.

Our website tells more of our story so have a look via this link: https://www.kidmoreendcc.co.uk/

Why are we crowdfunding?

We are very lucky to have an amazing ground at Gallowstree Common however the magic doesn't happen overnight but by a group of dedicated volunteers who put a good deal of hard work, expertise and experience in producing one of the finest cricket grounds in the Thames Valley. Sadly our 30 year old tractor has in recent years started to show signs of wear and tear and unfortunately in September sustained a fault which cannot be repaired so our lovely blue tractor needs to be retired and replaced by a newer model.

How we’ll spend the money raised

All the money raised will be going to buying a new tractor which hopefully will last another 30 years and allow us to maintain the outfield and surrounds to the highest possible standard.

Community impact

Lots of our local community enjoy using the recreation ground when cricket isn't being played and having the use of our tractor throughout the year allows us to maintain the ground and surrounds to the highest standard for all to use.

How you can play your part

There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.

1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!

2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.

3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!

4. Fundraise for us. If you want to run your own fundraiser – maybe a sponsored activity or similar – use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
