New street trees for Algiers Road

Aim

I am excited to be raising funds for Street Trees for Living to plant 3 new street trees in Algiers Road

I am raising money for Street Trees for Living, which is a local charity working in partnership with Lewisham Council and Lewisham residents, to plant 3 new street trees in Algiers Road. The trees will be planted outside the terraced flats (numbers 30-38) towards the top of Algiers Road where there are currently no street trees. The new street trees will provide many benefits. They will improve our air quality, reduce heat in the summer months, help wildlife in Ladywell and make the street more beautiful.  I hope that the new trees will also bring joy to everyone in the street and those visiting and working here. Street Trees for Living has made this project possible by finding suitable locations for the trees, helping us choose suitable species and by the support they will give us after the trees are planted on caring for the trees as they grow.
