Aim
We want to share our love of cricket with as many people as possible and we need to replace our old sight screens.
Who are we?
We are Orrell Red Triangle Cricket Club based in the heart of Orrell, Wigan running 4 senior teams in the Liverpool & District Cricket Competition and 7 Junior teams from U9s to U18s age groups in the Wigan Junior League, our popular ECB All Stars program and are starting a Dynamos girls cricket team.
We are all about being family friendly, welcoming to all and encouraging as many people as possible to enjoy the cricket and our fantastic facilities.
Why are we crowdfunding?
We need your help to ensure we can offer high quality, amazing cricket facilities to as many people as possible. Our sight screens are old, heavy and damaged and need to be replaced.
How we’ll spend the money raised
We will spend the money raised on improving our facilities in order to continue to support all of our teams.
We initially need to replace our existing sight screens, this will enable us to improve the quality of our cricketing offer. We are unable to use the screens for our Junior games as they are difficult to move so we want to give the children the opportunity to play cricket like they see with the seniors and on TV.
We also want to advertise our ground and facilities to encourage new female players and members. Any money raised above the cost of the new sight screens will be put into setting up the girls team.
Community impact
We are at the heart of the community in Orrell, as well as the cricket we host a number of community events including four fantastic community fairs, our women's prosecco cricket day, pub knockout day, bonfire night firework display and famous Orrell live event.
We would really love to ensure that our reach goes as far into our community as possible and we can share our passion of hosting community events as well as providing opportunities for all to play cricket.
