Aim
Our Scout Group Needs Your Help! We Need A New Shed URGENTLY!
The leaders (all volunteers) are trying to raise funds for a new shed to store all our equipment in! Our current shed is over 30 years and is not fit for purpose anymore. It leaks badly now, the roof is starting to sag and its becoming unsafe!
We have been and got a quote for a similar size shed that will hopefully see the group through another 30 odd years.
The cost of the shed is at £13.4K! Our current funds are at about £8k (we need to keep some in reserve to keep the group running!)
The cost of the shed does not include hiring storage for up to 6 weeks whilst we clear the old shed and pay for removal.
We need a groundworks team to look at the site and possibly a completely new base built before the arrival of the new shed.
We have been applying for grants but yet to win any!
So, to keep our group going, we are asking for donations from the public. Volunteers at the group give up so much of their time to entertain and teach the young people and ask for very little in return!
We would love it if we can get this shed paid for and put in place by the summer.
