Hi team!
I am looking to crowdfunder to raise money towards a new potters wheel, to replace my very old (& now deceased) wheel.
This was one of my first potters wheels, it has seen a fair few lumps of clay in its time and it had a long life before I bought it early in 2020. Unfortunately this week it completely kicked the bucket & I am now in quite desperate need of a replacement.
In exchange for your kind donation, you will have to opportunity to pre order handcrafted ceramics, made especially for crowdfund supporters. I am offering pieces made in exclusive glazes and designs as well as pottery lessons!
Any contribution, great or small, will help me achieve my goal.
MY PROCESS
All of my ceramics are handcrafted with stoneware clay, I love sharing my process through social media, be sure to check out my instagram page for (almost daily) videos! Once thrown on a potters wheel, they are trimmed and dried, then their first firing is 1000c, which is a 12 hour firing process then further 12 hour cooling.
Now the decorating fun begins as the piece is now ready to glaze! Each of my pieces are glazed by hand, ensuring each piece is similar, but not identical to the next in each collection. Every month I am keen to released new and exciting editions to the Scotland and Marine collections, along with other emerging works.
Once glazed, these pieces are fired to between 1180-1250c and this takes 12-15 hours, then a further 12-15 hours to cool. Now its finally ready to head off to its new home!
I NEED...
To purchase a new potters wheel. This piece of equipment is critical to my crafting process, my monthly 'shop drops' and collaborations with other small businesses are rapidly growing in popularity and to continue to produce my work, the purchase of said wheel is vital.
I am seeking funding to make this purchase a reality.

LONG TERM GOAL...
Looking forward I will be opening my studio for people of all ages and abilities to come in and dive deep into their imaginations and learn new skills within the arts, marrying together illustration, sculpture techniques and of course, pottery. This funding will pledge towards this goal being achieved.
