Aim
Our Pay Forward Scheme (VIP card) is a community initiative that provides a hot meal and a drink for two people for £5 per card.
At New Pioneers Community Café, we believe that everyone deserves more than just a meal—they deserve connection, dignity, and hope. Yet, for many in our community, the harsh reality of winter brings not only the cold but also crushing isolation. Rising living costs have left people choosing between heating their homes and buying food, with little left for social interaction or self-care.
Our Pay Forward Scheme was created to change that. With every VIP card purchased, you provide two people with a warm meal, a hot drink, and a welcoming space for those facing isolation and financial hardship. But more than that, you’re giving them a moment of connection, a chance to feel seen and valued.
Over 12 weeks, we aim to distribute 2,000 meals and drinks to individuals and families in need. Each visit to the café is an opportunity for them to connect with others, access support services, and rebuild their confidence in a safe and inclusive environment.
With £10,000, we’ll fund:
- Nutritious meals and drinks to feed both body and soul.
- A warm, inviting space where people can find relief from the cold and loneliness.
- Community outreach efforts ensure we reach those who need help the most.
This isn’t just about meals—it’s about fighting the epidemic of loneliness, empowering individuals with a sense of belonging, and building a stronger, more connected community.
