New Masjid Bilal Community Centre

Aim

• Assalaam Alaykum 
• By the grace of Allah ta'ala we have been granted planning permission to convert our recently acquired property next door to the Masjid into a purpose built centre for the benefit of our local community. This space will facilitate the provision of educational classes, community social space and provide a meeting space for our local Muslim residents.

Our vision is for this building to become a focal point for the local community and allow us to bring Jamia Masjid Bilal to the forefront of our daily lives. It is with the grace of Allah that we have been provided this opportunity to invest in our own community and reap the benefits indefinitely in sha Allah. 

Our Masjid is loved and cherished by all who attend and it is through the admirable contributions of our members that we continue to grow and develop to serve the needs of Balsall Heath. We need your support more than ever to ensure we can deliver on our vision to make Masjid Bilal a focal point for our Muslim brothers and sisters. 

Our Masjid was built to serve a specific need of the Muslim community and we must continue to strive in ensuring those needs are met. Our future generations will depend on Masjid Bilal in the same way we have relied on it in our lives; to provide a safe space for us to gather in congregation, to pray, to celebrate our deen, to share our love for Allah and his Rasool (peace be upon him), and to come together and share our sorrow in times of need. 

This new project we have embarked on will allow us to broaden our Masjid facilities and provide a bespoke space for classes to be held, meeting room, wudu facilities and  community halls. We have overcome many obstacles with the continuing support of our members but we still have a long way to go. 

Alhamdulillah we have nearly 40% of our target (£180k remaining). We have progressed and received planning consent (plans are attached) and we have received quotes for the work to be carried out. 

Brothers and sisters this is more than an appeal to raise funds, this is an appeal for us to invest in the future of the muslim community in Balsall Heath, for ourselves, for our children and for generations to come. The seeds we sow today will flourish for years to
