Sport England - Movement Fund has provided £5,000 of match funding
New Lawn Mower for Butlers Arms Bowling Club

Aim
We are aiming to raise funds to buy a new mower, to allow us to keep our green in tip top condition for years to come.
Who are we?
We are the Butler's Arms Crown Green Bowling Club, based in Pleasington, nr Blackburn, Lancashire. We have been playing in the Blackburn and Darwen Leagues for decades.
Why are we crowdfunding?
Our existing lawn mowers are over 40 years old, and increasingly unreliable and costly to maintain. In order to keep our green in the best condition for years to come we are aiming to purchase a new mower, with accessories to allow us to cut, scarify and tine the green regularly.
Sport England have generously offered £5000 towards the purchase of the new equipment, conditional on the club raising £5000 through this Crowdfunder page.
How we’ll spend the money raised
We will spend all the money raised on a new lawnmower and accessories.
Community impact
The Bowling Green is a community asset, attached to the Butler's Arms Pub in Pleasington. The Green is used for competitive matches against dozens of teams across the area, as well as for competitions and socially.
