Unfortunately this project was not successful.

Raising funds to buy a 'new' second hand laptop - an essential tool for the volunteer work of Radiation Free Lakeland.

by Marianne Birkby in Milnthorpe, Cumbria, United Kingdom

In 2008 I set up Radiation Free Lakeland - a volunteer group-  in order to fight plans for a deep nuclear dump planned under Ennerdale and the Lake District coast.  In this we were very successful and plans were halted in 2013.  But the nuclear industry is just like “Terminator” in its ambitions and we continue to fight developments and also encourage others to push back against diabolic nuclear plans.  The latest being to dump heat generating nuclear wastes, this time under the Irish Sea.

Our second hand lap-top is now creaky and unfit for purpose and you would be helping the cause enormously if you were able to donate a small amount towards a newer model (still second-hand!)  lap-top.  A lap-top is an essential tool for the volunteer work of Radiation Free Lakeland.

With Many Thanks!

Marianne
