On the 24th November 2023 we'd raised £1,730 with 34 supporters in 56 days. But as every pound matters, we're continuing to collect donations from supporters.
We’re over a quarter of the way there, with a quarter of our £200,000 target already raised through grants. This has allowed us to reach a significant milestone: the New Ferry Rangers clubhouse building is now complete and partially operational. Our vision is to have this facility fully operational by the end of 2024, but to make that happen, we need to raise the remaining funds. These funds are essential to cover wages, utility bills, and insurance, ensuring we can open our doors to the community.
We believe that by the second year, with revenue from memberships, pitch fees, and community contributions, the centre can become self-sufficient. This hub means a great deal to the people of New Ferry, a community that has faced significant hardship, especially since a devastating explosion in 2017 left lasting damage in the area. With some of the highest health and deprivation statistics in the UK, this is an area that’s often been overlooked—but New Ferry is a proud, resilient community that’s ready to support one another.
Our centre aims to address these local challenges by providing vital resources. We plan to offer affordable gym memberships, low-cost rentals for our football pitch, and spaces for use by various community groups. Together, we can make this space a thriving reality.
