We are raising funds to buy our very own defibrillator for the nursery. Safeguarding and protecting the children and their families within our care is our top priority and we continue to strive to do our utmost to have the best available resources to deliver this.

Did you know that nobody is immune to Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) - and this could affect each and every one of us at any time. The only definitive treatment for SCA is the life-saving shock from a defibrillator. Pairing this along with effective CPR can help to increase a victim’s chance of survival from 6% to 74% if delivered within the first 3-5 minutes of collapse.

We always have fully Paediatric First Aid trained staff members in every room at the Willow Tree, and we strive to ensure ALL of our staff hold this PFA level 3 award within the next 18 months. To give these staff members the additional confidence of a defibrillator on site will enhance their potential if ever having to administer their training.
