New stretch target
Any extra money raised will go towards purchasing a new mower and roller for the club. Both machines seem to be antiques!
We are also looking to invest in the clubs future.
We need to replace the old cricket nets which are falling apart. The new nets will allow us to train more juniors in safer surroundings.

Rudgwick Cricket Club was formed way back in 1849 and we continue to play our cricket on the King George V Playing Fields. We are an open, friendly cricket club playing in the Sussex Leagues and also the T20 Sussex Slam. We have a large junior section training on a Friday evening and have several junior teams, both boys and girls, playing in their own leagues. Some photos of the Friday night sessions can be seen below:
Our current net facilities are over 20 years old and unfortunately have reached the end of their lifespan. They are also non complaint with current ECB guidelines.
We will be removing the old nets and getting a brand new, 2 bay, fully enclosed cricket practice facility. We have obtained 4 quotes for such a facility and the best has come in at £41,754. We have already raised £27,000 and have obtained a grant for £5,000 so are looking to raise the remaining £10,000. Any extra raised will go towards a new mower and roller for the club.
The nets are located on the Parish Council playing fields and will be open to use for anyone who is interested in playing cricket locally, whether a club member or not. We will actively encourage their use for the local schools to aid the development of cricket in the junior years.
There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.
1. Make a pledge. Don’t delay if you’re going to support us because momentum is key to our success!
2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.
3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!
4. Fundraise for us. If you want to run your own fundraiser – maybe a sponsored activity or similar – use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
This project offers rewards in return for your donation. Please select a reward below.
