It’s never too early to start. Help us launch a charity pilot giving young parents a trusted compass for evidence-based early learning.

I asked myself this question for nights on end.
Is it too early to kickstart this new charity? Is it too early to create this fundraiser? With so many ideas, where do I actually start?
Look at this picture taken at the recently concluded Reading Mela, doing what I love — this is the moment that gave me the definitive answer.

After watching me interact with the children, a few parents stopped to commend me, saying I was a natural with kids. During that same conversation, 8 out of 10 of those parents admitted they felt completely overwhelmed by the conflicting early learning guidance they find online and offline.
Be it dance, music or early learning resources - when and where do we start?
The questions echoed what I was thinking of answering.

When it comes to human potential, science tells a staggering story. By the time a child turns six, roughly 90% of their brain has already developed. In those first few years, their minds form more than a million new neural connections every single second. It is a fleeting window where the blueprint for their entire life is drawn.
But I didn't always understand the profound importance of early preparation. In fact, I learned it the hard way.

In 2013, a severe head injury instantly ended my career as an IT analyst. The world as I knew it vanished, replaced by a quiet, challenging void. I had to rebuild my mind and my life entirely from scratch.
Eventually, I found my voice again. The written word — and the incredible support of a crowdfunding community — helped me publish my first book, Six-Word Is All I Needed, in 2017. Today, I am humbled to be recognised as an Oxford 2025 Author of the Year and Community Champion for running various social initiatives and successful fundraising campaigns.
Growing up, my parents fed me a steady diet of resilience. They shared strong, character-building stories that served as my early cognitive scaffolding. When my accident happened, that early foundation is what ultimately helped me survive. But my gruelling recovery taught me a harsh lesson: as adults, we usually only learn how to navigate life after we've been knocked down.

CHARITY VISION
My long-term vision is a charity that helps people build resilience early and be ready for every major life transition — from the teenage years right through to post-retirement.
But a lifetime of resilience requires an unshakable foundation. That is why this campaign is dedicated entirely to funding our pilot program: Early Childhood Learning.
THE PROBLEM
Right now, parents are desperate for clear early learning guidance.
THE BENEFICIARIES
Our pilot programme will act as a compass for young parents.
THE PILOT TARGET GROUP
EYFS - The early years foundation stage (EYFS) sets standards for the learning, development and care of children from birth to 6 years old.
THE ACTION
Instead of vague advice, your backing will fund a concrete deliverable: The Early Years Compass Portal — a curated neuroscience backed digital platform paired with a downloadable starter-guidebook that cuts through the noise.
Rather than another opinion blog, the Portal will point parents to proven, evidence-based methodologies drawn from established early-childhood frameworks, including the kind of play-based, attachment-informed approaches championed by leading development researchers.
We are actively vetting and establishing partnerships with recognised specialists in early cognitive learning, and every resource will be reviewed by our educational advisor before it reaches a parent.
PARENTS DIALOGUE
The new charity will also initiate dialogue between parents, education authorities, and education counsellors through counselling sessions and regular workshops.

To turn this from an idea into a registered reality, I am looking to raise £6,000. Transparency is everything, so here is exactly how your funds will be deployed:
If we exceed our goal, all stretch funds will go directly to hosting more workshops. If we fall short, we will prioritise the legal charity registration first and scale the digital portal to match available funds

No great story is written alone, and a compass cannot guide anyone until it is built. Backers like you gave me my life back in 2017 when you funded my first book.
Now, I am asking you to help me pay it forward to the next generation.
