Aim

We need a new animal ambulance to safely and reliably transport our animals to the vets and for emergencies. Please HELP US to help them.

NEW Animal Ambulance Project 

Preston RSPCA have been operating for 150 years! We are so proud of the welfare work we do, but we couldn't do it without the support of the local community and wider public. As an independent branch of the National Society, not a lot of people know we are a separately registered charity, which means we do all our own fundraising. We have 3 charity shops and every penny we make goes towards the animals in our care.

We are in desperate need of a new centre van to act as our animal ambulance. It is absolutely vital that we are able to transport our animals in life-threatening emergencies, as well as taking them to vet appointments. We don't have a vet on site at our centre, and our RSPCA vet is in Salford, Greater Manchester, which is a long journey for a lot of animals and can be very stressful for them. Our current van was gifted to the branch 12 years ago, and is 17yrs old, and has done nearly 100,000 miles! Betsy (lovingly named by the staff and volunteers) often requires costly trips to the garage as she is showing her age and ready for retirement. Check out our video of the noises she makes when we reverse!A modern van would offer air-conditioning and heating as standard, resulting in better conditions for transporting our precious cargo at any time of the day. Currently this restricts us travelling in extreme temperatures as the animals welfare must be our priority. 

We are aiming to raise £25k for a new centre van so that we can transport our animals safely, and in comfort. To incentivise donations/pledges, we have 5 rewards available. 

£10 = 10% discount in one of our charity shops or in our ebay shop

£20 = 20% discount in one of our charity shops or in our ebay shop

£30 = Name one of the cats or dogs in our care

£50 = Name a cat and a dog in our care

£100 = Come to the animal centre for a private tour (only 80 spots available)

The highest donors will also receive a luxury hamper for their own cat or dog.
