Netball Court Renovation

The St Lawrence CEP School PTA are so excited to officially announce our next big fundraising project: the Netball Court Renovation. The current netball court has served St Lawrence well for more than 15 years, but everyone - children, parents and teachers - agree that it is desperately in need of refurbishment. And we need your help! We have set a £5K fundraising goal to help us raise additional funds to support the project. 

Please ask your friends and family to make a contribution to our Crowdfunder and participate in upcoming PTA events to help us meet our goal. We have teamed up with Sovereign Sports to completely resurface the netball court and install a Netball England-approved synthetic grass surface top layer this upcoming summer, but this is an extremely large financial undertaking for our PTA.

We are especially pleased to publicise this project in the wake of the exciting news that the St Lawrence team has won the Sevenoaks District “Small and Medium Schools Netball League” award for the year. Our team was unbeaten!
But even more importantly, we are excited for this project because it benefits all the children, regardless of whether or not they play netball. Currently, the netball court is being used as the school football pitch while the field is too muddy, and it also doubles as a cricket pitch and other sports’ areas during Thursday PE sessions. Plus, let’s not forget how much use it gets during the children’s unstructured play time…any one up for a game of tag ” ;)

We know we can achieve our goal and make this project a real win for the school. We are blessed that the “Here if you need” line Mrs Clark’s players shout to each other on the netball court has always translated off-court, too, for the St Lawrence community.

The children and St. Lawrence would like to thank you in advance for your generosity. Funds raised in excess of the project will go to the St. Lawrence PTA general fund.
