Aim

Raising funds to give Netball Aid tickets to local children.

Post-closure update and donations still welcome until 1st November.

Update as at 28th October.    2k raised!!!!   Thank you all so much.  If we make £2.2k that'd be 200 YES TWO HUNDRED seats for folk who might not go otherwise!!

Literally wow: We had to close the Crowdfunder early to get the lions' share of tickets out to those who would benefit.

I assumed that meant we'd not make target:  I was delightfully wrong.  Donations came in at the last minute to help us hit our target and commit 150 tickets for local families.

Then, the page somehow stays open and more money has come in - wow again!

AND if you feel able to donate, and want the money to go to residents of a specific area, we will do our darndest to make it happen, so do give if you can and, again, thanks to everyone who's helped!

Recap below....

UPDATE: Due to high demand from schools for the charitable tickets, we need to close early to get the donated tickets to the right people.

So this campaign will end a week early (on the 16th October).  It’s unlikely we will make the original target in that time, but we’ve left it as was so you can prove us wrong!

Late donations will be welcome after the deadline, but this gives us time to distribute the majority.

Thanks to one and all for helping – and see on the 2nd November!  It’s gonna be fun!

Who are we?

We’re Hattie and Alice — 13-year-old twins who love sport and helping others. In the past, we’ve crowdfunded for Coventry United Women FC, the Coventry Foodbank, and lots of good causes.

When we heard about Netball Aid, we knew we wanted to help.

Why are we crowdfunding?

One of us captains a football team, the other captains a netball team — and we’ve been lucky enough to attend amazing events and watch our heroes in action.

Netball Aid isn’t just another match. More than half of all money raised goes to Children in Need. That’s why we’re determined to help make it open to all — especially kids who might not otherwise get the chance.

How we’ll spend the money raised

We’ve booked our own tickets and can’t wait to cheer on celebrities and to witness a World Record attempt!

But Netball Aid, had a brilliant idea: fundraise for tickets so that children from all backgrounds could attend. We thought that sounded amazing — and promised to help.

Netball Aid came up with  “Seat Saints” — people who donate tickets so others can enjoy the event - like buying an extra coffee for someone in the big shops.

We spoke to our dad and convinced him to donate £110 so ten local children can go free. He challenged us to do more:-). So here we are , doing all we can to promote the Seat Saint appeal.

Every donation will help cover tickets, transport, or a bit of food — making sure no child misses out on this unforgettable day.

Changing lives one pass at a time

For many families, tickets to events like this just aren’t possible. But we believe that seeing top-level athletes — and having fun — can be truly inspiring.

Several schools have already asked Netball Aid if tickets might be available for their pupils. We want to help make that happen.  If people want to give the tickets can go to the areas they choose.

How you can play your part

Please help us make this dream a reality. It would mean the world to us — and to the children we’re trying to support.

Make a pledge. Whether it’s a couple of pounds, £11 for a ticket, or enough for a whole group — every bit helps. Or spread the word: Ask your boss if your workplace can donate, repost this campaign, or simply tell your friends.

Thank you so much for reading — and for believing in the power of sport to bring people together.

We know it is important to say thank you, so we are going to try to get a banner made and to add the names and logos of those who help. If anyone can offer to design and print that would be great!
