Aim
To keep our doors open and continue offering affordable creative arts and play based sessions to home educated children in Cornwall.
Nest Cornwall CIC was born from a simple belief: that a child's early education should nourish the whole child — their creativity, their curiosity, their emotional world, and their sense of belonging to a community.
Nest Cornwall CIC runs sessions three days a week across three locations welcoming home-educated children aged 6 to 12. Our child centred approach is rooted in relational practice, drawing on therapeutic play, outdoor learning, and the creative arts. Sessions are delivered by Lucie Hill and her assistant Helen Davison. Both Lucie and Helen have experience of parenting children who present with neurodivergence and they extend their understanding and warmth to the children in their care at Nest Cornwall CIC.
Many of our children have had difficult experiences in mainstream schooling. At Nest Cornwall CIC, they find safety, joy, connection, and the space to thrive.

Nest Cornwall CIC is led by founder and Director Lucie Hill, who is registered with Ofsted as a childminder and Therapeutic Play and Creative Arts Practitioner (PTUK). Everything we do is reinvested directly into the programme and the children we serve. But like all small grassroots organisations, keeping the lights on — and the art supplies stocked — takes real community backing.

Nest Cornwall CIC would like to continue running as a social enterprise and to remain affordable to families whose children do not suit the mainstream schooling system. For governance purposes there are three Directors including Lucie Hill, Elizabeth Scrace (retired SEN teacher) and Liz Eddy (Music Therapist & Supervisor) who meet regularly.
