Nepal's floods have devastated families, destroyed homes, and cut off villages. Our aim: deliver emergency supply and support relief teams.
On 26 August 2026, a massive ice and rock avalanche near the Nepal-China border sent a wall of mud and debris crashing down into the Bhote Koshi and Trishuli rivers, wiping out entire villages in seconds. Over 1,000 people were killed (and counting) and more than 5,000 remain missing, with an estimated 93,000 people affected across districts like Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, and Gorkha. At least 19 bridges and nearly 40km of roads were destroyed, cutting off communities and making it nearly impossible for aid to reach them by road. Thousands are now without shelter, clean water, or basic supplies heading into the winter months. Rescue efforts are ongoing and under immense pressure, with a second wave of flooding is predicted to hit soon.
I'm working directly with an organisation on the ground that is assembling supply packs and handing them to the army for transport to the hardest-hit, hardest-to-reach areas. We're working from a clear, verified list of what's needed, not usually donated items, and the things people are desperately short of right now. Some of the items on the list include tarps, sleeping bags, blankets, clothing, sandals, underwear, pharmacy essentials, AA batteries, solar lights, power banks, and tissue rolls, among other necessities.
Every donation goes straight to purchasing these items through the group of organisations working together with the local and national government, so your support turns directly into supplies reaching families who need them.
