Let me introduce you to "NellyBoxes"- a range of self care boxes that helps with the grieving process for those experiencing baby loss

NellyBox

1 in 4

It's estimated that baby loss affects at least 1 in 4 women (and men) today. In reality, the number is probably much higher as so many people suffer in silence. There is still such a taboo surounding baby loss.

Who Am I?

My name is Nicola and I am a baby loss survivor.

I miscarried my baby while on honeymoon in 2015 and since then, I've had a total of 7 losses.

I have had miscarriages, an ectopic pregnancy and have experienced the loss of twins. I remember each and every one of the babies I've lost.

My mental health suffered after my losses and I didn't know how to deal with my grief effectively. Afterall, how can you explain to someone that you're grieving over someone who was not yet born? But the truth is, I did need to grieve. My losses were very real to me. And millions of other men and women feel the same.

The Boxes

I plan on creating a range of self care boxes that will include specially picked items to help with the grieving process. There will be a strong focus on mindfulness and promoting positive mental health, and these boxes will be suitable for both men and women (as quite often, our partners can be forgotten). There will also be a range of boxes for single women, and women in same sex relationships. These boxes are fully inclusive.

What's in the box?

Without giving too much away, I can make a promise that each item will directly benefit the person - or people - who are experiencing a loss. I know what works and what doesn't, because I've been through it many times and I know what can ease some of the pain. These boxes won't erase all of the hurt that comes with a loss, but they will help you on your road to healing.

What will your money go toward?

The money raised will go toward purchasing quality products and branding. It's important for me to get "NellyBoxes" out there, as the more people that see, hear and use the boxes - the more people are talking about miscarriage. I'm a strong believer in the importance of communication and by talking about baby loss, we may finally end the taboo. #breakthesilence

Why the elephant?

You may wonder I chose an elephant as my logo. Of course we've all heard the saying "elephants never forget" and I wanted people to know that their babies - the babies that were so loved regardless of how long they were with us - will never be forgotten.

The pink and blue colours are the recognised colours of miscarriage and baby loss, and I chose the mandala effect to symbolise how important mindfulness and meditation can be during the healing process.

Anything else?

The profits of boxes sold will go to local baby loss charities and support groups for those experiencing loss.
