Aim

Help Us! We need a home and a new Mini Soccer Centre to accommodate our ever growing voluntary youth league.

Originally Established in 1947, our voluntary youth league caters for around 3,000 local children from U7s to U18s, girls and boys in Chesterfield, Derbyshire.

As we plan for the future, the NDYFL has been looking for further venues to facilitate our expanding mini soccer football age groups and we are excited to have an opportunity to purchase a sports ground and facilities. Our aim is to develop the pitches to create a new Mini Soccer Centre for U7s to U10s and the clubhouse to create a central HQ meeting point for our league meetings, a central hub for the community,

Our vision would be to work alongside the local community, to form a strong bond, with our commitment of facilitating and managing all sports activities on site to keep the local young people healthy, whilst offering a structured approach to maintaining the grounds and building facilities to bring it back into community use. With our experience across our other sites enabling us to maintain the standards required and enabling us to develop,

Our existing model for operations at our other venues would be replicated to enable the NDYFL to plan and manage league fixtures for mini soccer teams at three kick off times on Saturday mornings, with on site parking managed by our team of volunteers. Teams would be managed in, around and out of the venue in a manner to have the least impact on local residents.

In addition to NDYFL league matches, the NDYFL would also operate a number of events including a festival of football summer tournament, where teams will be invited from outside of the immediate local area to compete. We also anticipate additional interest in using the venue for training sessions and match requirements of other local sports clubs and these bookings would be managed centrally by the site management committee.

Having a HQ for the NDYFL has been a long held ambition and the redevelopment of the old Clubhouse would be the perfect opportunity to create a facility, where NDYFL management committee meetings could be held and the addition of a Function Room would enable the venue to be used for larger meeting and events involving all member clubs or be available to hire for individual function bookings. A kitchen area would be used for fundraising by serving matchday refreshments, whereas the function room takings would ensure the financial future of the venue from a management and maintenance point of view.
