Distributing food items to six other food banks in Wolverhampton. We wish to raise funds to purchase a van for weekly deliveries.
Our charity set up a food bank in response to Covid-19 and we have continued to serve the disadvantaged of all ages, genders, religions, ethnicity and cultural backgrounds in the city of Wolverhampton providing hundreds of food parcels for the past 4 years.
We also run our own Special Dietary Food Bank catering to the needs of those with food allergies and intolerance. We have a small database of individuals and families we deliver food parcels to on regular basis.
Our dedicated team of volunteers has worked extremely hard to make our project a success who have worked excessive hours to make sure that we reach our community members who have suffered financial disadvantage due to cost-of-living crisis.
How is our project funded?
We successfully received grants from the Heart of England Community Fund, The National Lottery Community Fund, Wolverhampton Police & Crime Commissioner and Arnold Clark. Our other supporters are; The Rotary Club Of Wolverhampton, The Wolves Foundation, Warburtons and local businesses that help with food donations.
Our team:
We are team of 8 volunteers who manage the collections of donations, distributions of food, toiletries, household items, furniture, white goods, administration and management of the food bank.
What will the money be spent on?
We will use the funds to purchase food supplies and a van that we desperately need to continue supporting our community. Our charity supports approximately 1200 individuals per week and we trying our hardest sustain our food bank as so many people rely on our support.
