Our project builds vital resources and training to support Scotland’s ASN pupils, teachers, and families through Neurodivergence Connect
🌟 Our Story
We are two Scottish primary school teachers who saw a problem we could not ignore. Every day, we work with children who are autistic, have ADHD, learning differences, or other Additional Support Needs (ASN). Yet across Scotland, teachers and families lack practical tools, training, and consistent support to help these amazing young people thrive.
That is why we founded Neurodivergence Connect CIC, Scotland’s first dedicated social enterprise focused entirely on building real solutions for the ASN community.
We are not just teachers. We are also parents, friends, and colleagues of neurodivergent people. We know the gaps, and we are determined to close them.
💡 Our Vision
Our vision is a Scotland where every neurodivergent child has the chance to thrive, and where teachers and families feel empowered, connected, and equipped.
We plan to build:
Practical teaching resources, including our ASN Teacher Planner, visual supports, and classroom tools.
Training and workshops for educators and families, designed by teachers who truly understand.
An online hub offering free downloads, videos, and guidance for anyone supporting neurodivergent learners.
Community events and holiday programmes for neurodivergent children and young people, filling vital gaps in local services.
We are creating an ecosystem of support that combines knowledge, lived experience, and practical solutions.
💰 How We Will Use Your Support
Every pound raised will help us:
✅ Print and produce our first run of ASN Teacher Planners, making planning for neurodivergent pupils easier and more effective.
✅ Develop our online resource hub, so free tools are accessible across Scotland.
✅ Run our first live training sessions and workshops for teachers and families.
✅ Cover vital start-up costs so we can focus on delivering impact rather than just survival.
With your help, we can launch our services sooner, reach more people, and change more lives.
🙌 Why This Matters
Over 37% of Scotland’s pupils are now identified as having Additional Support Needs, a figure that has more than tripled in the last decade. Yet many teachers feel undertrained and under-resourced. Families are often left struggling alone.
Neurodivergence Connect CIC exists to change this. We have already seen huge impact from our pilot work, improving teachers’ confidence by up to 81% and helping schools become more inclusive.
But we need your support to bring these resources and services to life on a national scale.
