We are raising £20,000 to provide an inclusive wellness platform; for those living or caring for those with chronic illness and disability.
Reaching our target would permit the following:
- Cover the cost of studio hire so we can commit to regular wellness sessions to ensure we are always accessible
- Additional support for various accessibility needs so clients and carers can feel included in the sessions, i.e. captions or wheelchair ramps
- Support the provision of mental health services and community outreach events to improve mental wellbeing.
VISION
Have you ever had to run through a list of more than 12 things long before going to the gym? Yes/No?
The Facts are:
NBE FITNESS wants to provide inclusive wellness sessions so carers and their families can enjoy the social activity without worrying about anything.
NBE FITNESS stands for Notorious Big Energy Fitness. The community was created to provide space for people living with chronic illnesses or disabilities, carers and individuals who want to join in inclusive wellness sessions.

Since 2016 Kanndiss Riley has been running hybrid events working with various organisations to run events for women and children on Mental and Physical Well-being. NBE FITNESS was constituted to show the importance of accessible sessions and how paramount it was before and since C19 is to run inclusive sessions to help support community wellbeing. NBE FITNESS had the pleasure of running many online events during Covid, birthing our regular services from 1:1 sessions, webinars and 30-minute Chair fitness sessions to help people keep fit, support mental wellbeing and give designated space for people living with chronic illness and disabilities to enjoy improving their wellbeing.
NBE FITNESS will provide mental and physical activities such as HIIT class, Journaling, Breathwork sessions, programmes on diabetes. We will run sessions with external practitioners and have mental health services to help provide psychology programmes. Our founder Kanndiss Riley is a trained mental health first aider with experience working in pastoral care, level 4 trained PT, Dance and Para Dance teacher and a disabled black woman who enjoys helping others. Kanndiss is working to build a platform that others want to be part of, work for and change the stats on women like her leading industries.
We are running this campaign to build a community and platform for everyone to enjoy all the work NBE FITNESS CIC provides. The forum will consist of a website, app and studio allowing disabled people to watch sessions, book sessions, talk to our team, read the information on health conditions, use forums and access interactive mental health programmes.
We want NBE FITNESS to redesign fitness platforms to cater for our clients who are parents or looking to get back into fitness, making sure our costs are accessible. So they can find sessions on-demand to fit around their lives and tailor their wellbeing journey to benefit from Mental Health services that instil optimism in their lives to continue investing in their wellbeing.
