Providing program for underprivileged communities from diverse ethnic backgrounds through nature excursions, tree planting and workshops.
Faiths Forum for London's NatureConnect Project.
In memory of our late trustee Leonie Lewis MBE
The project aims to foster environmental awareness, intergenerational relationships, and community cohesion throughout London, with particular attention to deprived areas with poor tree cover and underprivileged communities from diverse ethnic and faith backgrounds.
Funds will be used for 5 nature walks, 4 environmental workshops, and 2 tree-planting sessions. Walks provide immersive experiences, deepening the connection to nature. Workshops educate on sustainability and conservation. Tree planting engages participants in environmental restoration, emphasising ecosystem preservation. The project will be run between September-December 2023.
