🌱 Growing a Garden, Growing Futures
At Teddy’s Pre-School, we believe every child deserves the chance to explore, play and grow in nature.
But for some of the children we support, that simply isn’t their reality.
🧸 A Childhood Without Green Space
Teddy’s Pre-School supports families living in one of the most disadvantaged areas of Bournemouth. Some of our children grow up in flats with no garden, no safe outdoor space and very limited opportunities to experience nature.
“Some of our children have never planted a seed or seen something grow. That’s something we want to change.”
🌿 Our Vision: A Nature Nurture Garden
We want to transform an unused, grey space into a vibrant, living garden.
A place filled with:
Flowers, vegetables and wildlife
Sensory play areas to support development
A buddy bench where friendships can grow
A book-sharing space for families
This will become more than just a garden.
It will be an outdoor classroom, a safe haven and a place of joy.
Where children can dig in the soil, grow their first sunflower and watch wildlife return.

Outdoor learning has a powerful impact on children’s wellbeing, confidence and development.
For children, access to nature can:
Improve communication and social skills
Support physical development and coordination
Reduce anxiety and improve emotional wellbeing

- To enter by post, entrants must send their full name, contact details, and the name of the prize draw on a postcard or in an envelope with correctly paid postage.
- Entries must be sent via post and will not be accepted if delivered by hand.
- Entries with insufficient or incorrect postage will be void.
- Only one entry is permitted per envelope or postcard. Multiple entries within a single envelope will be disqualified.
- Free postal entries will be given an equal chance of winning as paid entries.
The prize draw closes at 12.01pm on 6th July 2026.
The winner(s) will be announced within 7 days of the closing date.
