The mission of Nature-Connected Neighbourhoods is to create and enhance corridors for wildlife to thrive in our urban communities.
We are working to bring people together as champions for wildlife, creating corridors and habitat through wildlife gardening. We help people to connect with nature and with their human communities. As part of this, we share resources with advice on wildlife gardening and we highlight the wildlife that is benefitting from us sharing our spaces. Our vision to create corridors and habitat for wildlife, to help people have access to nature and to build awareness of wildlife and ways that we can help.
We offer these services free of charge but have costs, such as insurance and website hosting. In addition we plan to buy equipment such as a moth trap (equipment that attracts moths and allows us to identify and enjoy them before releasing them and builds connection and knowledge so that we can make informed decisions about what plants and habitats will best support them). This equipment will be available to loan to people to help with building engagement and knowledge.
