Hello my beautiful blessed people. Welcome to my Crowdfunding Page. For my handmade jewellery and accessory business. Jewellery made to make a big statement using semi precious stones and gemstones which promotes wellbeing. Also ethically sourced.!

So what is this crowdfunding business you might be thinking? Crowdfunding is a way of raising what you need for various things. This crowdfunder is backed by NatWest and is aimed at helping more women start their new businesses. Firstly let me just say thank you so much for clicking on my link. Trying to get started and asking for help is not easy but being given this opportunity to start my business with someone backing is an opportunity I can not afford to miss.

Why not just pay for what you need yourself?

Firstly this would make starting a business and making a success in the first year very difficult.

Why not get a business loan? 

Business loans would mean more outgoings in interest and repayments and securing one is not guaranteed. NatWest have offered to give the business 50% of what I raise so I can hit the ground running. That’s right give the money to help startup with no repayment.

You can donate, or choose a reward which is basically a pre order of items and helping the business to startup without overheads.

How will you ensure that the business is a success?

Let me tell you a little bit about myself and introduce my business plan:

My name is Cheriese, I am a mum of 4 boys, in my spare time I enjoy making jewellery, blogging, content creating and photography. I graduated last year obtaining my Business BA Hons degree.

Being able to run my business from home would be so beneficial and rewarding for me and my family. I would get to do something that I absolutely love and enjoy. I have retail, banking and customer service experience which will help me to make my business a success.

* I have been offered backing from NatWest bank if I am able to raise my goal amount they will give my project additional funding if I reach my targets.

I came up with the concept of Natural Love handmade ethnic jewellery after years of creating beautiful original pieces of handmade jewellery and the feedback I have had on each piece has been amazing. I really am inspired by culture, countries, tribes, nature and wildlife. I try to buy ethically where possible and I thought how would I be able to incorporate my values into my jewellery, this is where my concept and business planning has really taken off and evolved. My vision is Jewellery influenced by culture, nature with ethically sourced materials. “Not just jewellery, it’s a way of life!”. I believe that my idea and concept is innovative and unique based on the products I plan to sell. For many years, Jewellery, has not only been a popular gift or purchase choice it has always been a good investment. Today Jewellery is extremely popular with consumers buying pieces of jewellery simply to accessorise outfits and many have a vast collection of jewellery. Today sales for online jewellery companies are constantly rising and therefore I think now is the time to launch my business idea.

I have attended craft fairs and African and Caribbean events and noticed that many people come to these places to buy ethnic items but struggle to find a way of sourcing these items online. Many of the items had no information as to how they were made, what inspired them, what materials were used and I thought that there is so much more to sell than just a piece of jewellery, I could be selling the story the inspiration or giving back to countries and the environment. 

I love working with semi precious stones, gemstones, sterling silver, wire, polymer and silver clay. I love discovering and sharing the benefits and properties of the materials used.

I plan to network with retailers, crafters, company’s bloggers and YouTubers to drive brand awareness and gain customers. 

How will I use the money?

If I am able to raise what I need to start my business through my crowdfunding campaign, it would be a great help with my business start up.

I would use the money to buy jewellery beads, stones, clay, wire and findings 

I will also use the money for branding, logos, branding, website creation and setup.

Etsy listings, other handmade site listing fees, working space setup (at home).

Packaging (envelopes and gift wrap), printing and paper costs for 1st year.
