Always on

This project successfully funded on 23rd April 2026, you can still support them with a donation.

Aim

Your donation today will help restore and protect nature across National Trust places, from meadows and moorland to coast and countryside.

The UK is one of the most nature-depleted countries in the world. Nearly 1 in 6 species are threatened with extinction. Only 14% of England’s rivers are in good health. And 80% of butterfly species have declined since the 1970's, with 40% now at risk of extinction.

We need landscapes that are bigger, better connected and more resilient to help tackle climate change and support wildlife.

It's not too late to give nature hope.

Your donation today could create meadows, replenish woodland, grow new green spaces and encourage nature to flourish for future generations to enjoy.

Across our nations, signs of recovery are already emerging. After 400 years, beavers are returning and transforming wetlands, improving water quality and creating rich habitats where wildlife flourishes. If you’ve watched them on our live cams, you’ve seen this remarkable comeback first‑hand.

From restoring moorland peat in the Upper Plym Valley in Devon to keeping the River Eden flowing freely at Acorn Bank in Cumbria, donors to the National Trust are already helping to recover natural habitats and reconnect ecosystems, allowing us all to enjoy our beautifully biodiverse landscapes.

Your support can spark more recoveries like this across England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Act now - nature can’t wait.

What your donation can help achieve

£10 could plant and establish one tree sapling – helping to grow Britain's future woodlands

£20 could plant a metre of hedgerow that will provide food and shelter for pollinators and mammals

£50 could restore 120 square meters of wildflower meadows – a vital home for threatened species

£100 could maintain and monitor beaver habitats ensuring their wetlands, dams and lodges remain safe and protected

£250 could restore 1,000 square metres of peatland, helping to lock away carbon in this natural store

£500 could pay for twenty river-silt traps, helping to filter pesticides and other pollutants, improving water quality and helping wildlife
