RCN SC028479, Muir of Ord

We provide training to young adults with learning disabilities and/or autism. We have a day training centre were we offer life and work skills, two residential centres and housing support services. We also offer online training services for young adults in the remote parts of Scotland.

Nansen Highland

Nansen Highland in Scotland is a non-governmental organisation and a company with charitable status, originally motivated by the life and work of the Norwegian humanitarian and explorer Fridtjof Nansen.

We support young adults with learning disabilities and/or autism.

Nansen has a day training facility based near Muir of Ord in a refurbished old train station. Life and work skills are acquired to enable the young adults to find and keep a job.

Nansen has two residential centres where the residents gain life and social skills. This will enable them to move on to their own tenancy in the future, with or without support.

Nansen also provides a Housing Support Service, where we support people in their own tenancies in the community.

Recently, we have started an on-line training and support service. This was at first initiated due to the Covid restrictions, but now we support people in the remote communities of the Highlands.

Any donation would go towards extra building space at the day training centre, to enable extra service delivery for the young adults waiting to have access to our services.
