NABC Community Cafe Warm Welcome

Aim

We are looking to raise money to fund our Community Cafe which offers a warm welcoming space that feels like home.

Our Community Cafe re-opened in May 2021 as we emerged from lockdown and became the focus of the work we do through our Community Family Project, which was formed in 1999. Through the project we operate a number of groups to help bring people together, support mental wellbeing and combat social isolation. We also offer one to one support to those who are struggling and walk with families who are living in food poverty, providing food parcels weekly and meals and fun in the school holidays. As energy prices began to rise, we were very much aware of how this would impact our community, so we are opening our cafe to the community on Tuesdays 10am-3pm and Wednesdays 10am-12pm to provide a warm space with Wifi and free mobile phone charging. We are looking to raise money to help to cover the energy costs of running the cafe as well as resources for the cafe and for our groups.
