Raise funds for our 4th album, allowing us to share some incredible new songs with you on vinyl.
Album 4 - here we go!
We have already begun the process of recording songs for the next album. Everywhere You Go (the first single!) comes out November 21 and it is somewhere between Procol Harum and the Beach Boys and Laurel Canyon. I can listen to it over and over. The cover is a photo we took in Joshua Tree at dusk. The crescent moon hanging in the night sky. A silhouette of Joe. My rock standing on a rock. You get the idea. 
With a surge of creative energy, the songs are heartfelt, uplifting, honest and hopeful. Just what we need right now! I have been dropping into Saltwell Studios recording songs bit by bit - we are three songs in and have about seven more to go. I am so ready to record these songs! I think bonus tracks are inevitable.
Our First Record on Vinyl
Then it's all about funding a vinyl run, booking a tour, etc. It's really tough out there but we are not letting it get in the way of creating and releasing new music. We have no label, management, publisher to support us through this process. We have always been independent and found ways to fund our music. We are hoping this crowdfunder will put us over the finish line and allow us to bring you vinyl for the first time! We also want to offer some really special rewards to those that invest in us - handprinted lino cut 'love astronaut' bandanas (suitable for framing I'm told!), your name on the record sleeve, EXECUTIVE PRODUCER credits and more. I have tried to price them accordingly - you are investing in us and we don't want to let you down. Guestlist passes, a HOUSE CONCERT, a birthday message, and songwriting workshops are also on offer! Most of these goodies are offered in very limited numbers so make sure to grab your reward ASAP to avoid disappointment.
Where are we in the process?
Right now my focus is on writing and recording the best version of these songs I can with the best team - Joe on bass, of course, Rue on harmonies, Chris Pepper at Saltwell engineering and other musician friends doing their thing. No doubt there will be some surprises when it's all finished. We are aiming for a mid-to-late summer release. If we meet our goal it will pay for the recording. We are hoping to stretch and SMASH OUR GOAL to bring you vinyl and all the fab rewards. All funds raised go to creating, manufacturing and promoting this album.
Funds breakdown: recording, mixing, mastering, artwork and design, manufacturing of vinyl, art cards, organising press. Just to give you an idea - it's about £1600 just to make 100 albums. That doesn't include anything else. Nothing. That doesn't include artwork, recording, mastering, mixing, press campaign. Just an example: Cardinal in the Snow cost £10,000. That was six years ago. The money for that album came from a generous gift from my mom and and dad and savings. On this new album I will be producing it myself. That cuts the costs but I don't get paid either...
Why?
Because the songs are that good. Our first album of all new songs in 6 years! I have already had some incredible feedback on some of the new songs. As an artist I create and then release. In troubling times I feel we need some good. Some hope. And that is where these songs fit in. With titles like Without You, Up The Mountain, The Good The Bad The Good, Breadcrumbs on the Water, Heavy, Do Me A Little Favour...I feel the cohesion of these songs. There is definitely a vibe going on. I want to stretch outside the box of genre and give you the music I am moved to create. We try so hard to remain positive, to 'manifest good things' and that is how we feel about this crowdfunder. We are manifesting a great response to our 4th album!
River Rewards!

As always we can't thank you enough for sticking by us in an extremely difficult 'industry'. Bear in mind this isn't to pay ourselves - all money goes to the project. So you can rest assured you have invested well. One key bit of info here: if we don't reach our target we get nothing. This is an all or nothing crowdfunder and if we reach our target we can add a stretch target. Watch for updates and maybe some more goodies to those who climb aboard!
