MY MINI MARKETPLACE
The brainchild of one mum and her mini, MMM is a wonderful and exciting peer-to-peer, IOS platform for kids fashion. Best described as the love child of eBay & Instagram.
Once registered, you’ll be part of a growing community of super awesome mums and dads who are active buyers and sellers.
The fuss-free, easy to use app allows you to follow your favourite sellers (to make sure you never miss a bargain), browse your feed for new items as well as offering inspiration. We also scout and recruit the coolest brands to bring you exclusive offers.
MMM isn’t just for parents. It’s also a super handy tool when looking for gifts for kids!
HOW IT ALL STARTED
Eighteen months in to motherhood, I found myself sitting in my bedroom, surrounded by bags of clothing that no longer fit my curly mop-top mini, Eva. As I looked through the clothes, some of which had only been worn once or twice and some still even had the tags on, I decided that these clothes deserved a little more love, and so MMM was born. The more I delved into the world of kid’s clothes, the more the idea grew. I was introduced to a world of creative independent kid’s brands creating clothes to suit every mini personality. MMM brings together these exciting new brands and parents looking to buy and sell pre-loved items. A one-stop shop for parents with little time and their stylish mini’s.
ECO IMPACT
Every year an estimated £140 million worth (around 350,000 tonnes) of used clothing goes to landfill in the UK. This is a significant environmental loss and a missed business opportunity.
Clothing accounts for around 5% of the UK’s total annual retail expenditure, with consumers spending £44 billion a year on buying clothes – or around £1,700 per household.
If clothes stayed in active use for nine months longer (extending the average garment life to around three years), this could save £5 billion a year from the costs of resources used in clothing supply, laundry and disposal. Given that over 5% of the UK’s total annual carbon and water footprints result from clothing consumption, savings of this scale would be hugely significant not only in financial and commercial terms, but also environmentally. -wrap.org

MMM's goal is to help change the way people look at buying preloved clothing for kids, making it cool and enjoyable to get thrifty.
You can see how the previous person has styled their little ones outfits and get major inspiration from cool flat-lays and parent bloggers.
HOW IT WORKS
How much does MMM cost?
MMM is FREE to download and listing an item for sale is always FREE. When you successfully sell an item MMM will automatically take a 10% commission fee on the total transaction amount (including shipping costs).
The 10% fee will be deducted automatically from your PayPal account. PayPal will also charge you a small fee for every transaction. It is usually around 3% but please check with them direct.
Here’s an example:
You sell an item for – £40 (including shipping)
MMM fee – £4
PayPal will charge a small fee – about £1.60
You keep – £34.40
FEATURES
SELL
Simply take a picture with in the app or upload from your existing gallery. What's really great is that, you can upload up to three images at one time to really show off your items in greater detail. Fill in a brief description and away you go. It really is as simple as that!
EXPLORE
Not looking for anything in particular? Be Inspired. The explore page is a random selection of items that have recently been uploaded by users.
STAR
Cant buy it just yet but don't want to forget the page, no problem (no more screenshots). Press the star to add it to your wish list so you can return at a later date.
REVIEWS
For piece of mind, you can read reviews on each seller that has a history of selling, so that you can shop with confidence.
FILTERS
Filters allow you to narrow down your search to find the right items suitable to your child/children by their age, gender, and size and item type. It also allows you to filter preloved from new with tags and handmade items.
NOTIFICATIONS
Notifications will let you know when you have a new follower, comment or like on your item. It will also notify you when you have a new sale. Hurrrrrrray!
WHERE WE ARE AT
Our IOS platform has been developed for mobile and tablet devices and is in its final stages of testing, due to launch this summer. MMM will create a welcoming and supportive community for small businesses and budding entrepreneurs to set up shop. We have 20+ exciting independent brands ready to launch on our Featured page with unmissable offers. The Featured page is updated weekly and features flash sales and exclusive discounts from three brands at a time.
