We provide clear, easy to

have to deal with! Through the App we will show you quick ways to change your
movement, your posture, your breathing and your mindset, all simple and
practical techniques that you can bring into your daily life straight away.
We are 3 people who are
very concerned about the increase in people demonstrating stress related illnesses, and there not always
being support readily available. We want to create the ‘My Health Pad’ App as a
way to share our simple techniques and easy to use tools to help you maintain
good health, prevent illness and recover from poor health.
There is a great deal we
can do for ourselves, and it doesn’t have to be complicated. Our
mind and body are inseparable. If one isn’t feeling good the other will be
affected. It doesn’t matter where you are in terms of your health, there
will be something here for you.
At My Health Pad we care
about your health and wellbeing, and have created this Confidential free tool to
manage and improve all aspects of your every day life. My Health Pad offers you
a place to assess your state of health, and be really honest about how you are
feeling. It allows you to complete a short personal confidential health
questionnaire which then provides options for you to try. You can use the ‘My
Health Pad’ App to store health information, keep a health diary, save your
favourite tools, practical techniques and ideas.

Rather than attempt to reduce stress related symptoms once they have become established, we feel that the focus should be on helping people to identify the triggers for stress as they arise, and find positive ways to deal with them before they cause mental emotional and physical disturbance.

Jo has been determined for many years to create a tool to encourage people to enjoy optimum health. She is particularly interested in illnesses which are invisible such as ME, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Depression, Anxiety and Stress.
She is passionate about helping to prevent people becoming poorly by being aware of and listening to their body. Wanting to support prevention and recovery by providing information, practical tools & guides she had the idea of creating an app for individuals to carry their own personal health guide on their phone always. Knowing she needed experts to help her Jo has achieved this by teaming up with Dan and Judith and together they created My Health Pad!
Jo says “We seem to have stopped listening to our bodies in recent times and we simply want to help you understand your own body and mind better so you can live a content, happy, disease free life. Have an open mind, give the technique and tools a go – follow the techniques and notice how different you feel. We have to experience the feeling that these tools provide us with before we can appreciate the benefits.”
Judith is a speech and
language therapist, and also a yoga teacher. Over the years, she has also
trained as a counsellor and hypnotherapist, using neuro-linguistic programming
to support people with a variety of stress related symptoms.
She has been a director of
a personal development training organisation, and in this capacity, provided
training to companies and organisations, teaching them how best to support
their staff with stress and anxiety in the workplace.
As a communication
specialist, she is involved in working with the police and justice system, and
as a Registered Intermediary she assesses victims and witnesses with
communication difficulties, enabling them to provide their best evidence in
police interviews and at court.
In all areas of her working
life, Judith has focussed on helping people to help themselves, giving them
strategies and techniques which enable them to manage, and start to overcome
the impact of stress in their lives.
Dan has worked in a number
of operational and leadership roles over the past 20 years and during this time
has suffered from working in varied and stressful environments. More recently
working as a strategic Project manager he shares a passion for supporting
people and helping them to achieve their goals.
More recently he has been
able to identify these triggers through the support of a number of
holistic methods. He has worked to mentor people that have been in a similar
situations and has a very supportive nature.
Dan is also our top geek,
helping with everything digital, social and App’y, also supporting with the
general development of My Health Pad.
Dan’s wife was diagnosed
with MS and post radiotherapy fatigue following treatment for a very rare form
of Cancer. Creating tools to support her in the coming years is very important
to help her to create opportunities to create memories for them as a family.
Dan has recently embarked
on a journey of eastern travel and home education of his 2 children and the
space this creates to listen to the mind and body is empowering
Are you planning to support your workforce following the Covid-19 crisis?
We are developing the My Health Pad App so that everyone is able to access it. We will be making it really easy for you to work with us to give your workforce access to a version of the App that could bespoke just for your business. We believe this makes you a really responsible employer.
We are working with our developers to allow the app to be rebranded for your business. We can provide your business with their own brand 'in-house' app to support your workforce with their mental health and wellbeing.
The support that businesses provide to their workforce is imperative as we move out of the physical health crisis from Covid-19. The below model describes the mental health implications that generally follow after a disaster and there is a great piece of research completed by EdSurge that explains the expected after effects of Covid-19.
However, research also shows that, you can reduce this curve with early intervention. By providing your workforce with access to our easy to use and simple techniques that can be used in the workplace you are directly contributing to their improved wellbeing.

Work-related stress and anxiety is the leading cause for ill health and sickness absence in Britain, HSE statistics have revealed.
There were 600,000 cases of work-related stress, anxiety or depression in 2017/18, which accounted for 44% of all the cases of work-related ill health in Britain. The other causes were musculoskeletal disorders (35%) and other types of illness (21%).
In total 1.4 million working people suffered from work-related ill health in 2017/18. When it comes to the causes of work-related stress, depression or anxiety HSE says workload pressures; including tight deadlines and a lack of managerial support were the main issues (44% of all cases). The report says 15.4 million working days were lost to work-related stress, depression or anxiety in 2017/18 (Labour Force Survey) with an average of 25.8 days lost per case.
In total, 57% of all working days lost to ill health were due to stress and anxiety.
