Movember is cool. It's a yearly campaign that forces men, and some ladys to sacrifice their faces in aid of mens health. They give a bunch of money to charitys and raise awarness of prostate and testicular cancer as well as mens mental health and 'inactivity'.
"The Movember Foundation is a global charity committed to men living happier, healthier, longer lives. Since 2003, millions have joined the movement. The money raised goes towards research into prostate and testicular cancer, and the impact is substantial. Prostate cancer is the second most common cancer in men worldwide and the number of cases expected to almost double to 1.7 million cases by 2030. If you didn't already think it, the foundation do some seriously amazing things."
Last year Mo's raised £11 million in the UK. This year, we're going to help them raise even more.
I'm Jan, I can't grow facial hair. I practiced for a week in the summer and failed. Therefore this could be an interesting and potentially imbarrasing experience, I am imagining the 1-2 week stage to be particulaarly fluffy. My wife, Hannah, probally won't come near me for a month.
Because I am a largely 'inactive' male man I am also going to take an oath to exersize regularly (see video above) for the whole of the month of November, every day to be precise. I'm not doing that for charity, just so I can have bigger muscules and feel like a manly man (see video above).
This is a #MoFunder. If you give me money you'll get to see me some potentialy disasterous facial hair. That seems like reward enough, but if you have anything you can suggest, or would like, make a comment on the project.
