We want to democratise the natural product sector by using collective buying power to reduce their cost.
We know lots of people want to live a more ethical lifestyle, but it’s not easy to find genuinely ‘clean’ and authentically naturally products in a sea of greenwash. At the same time we know the extra cost can put people off trying them out.
We’ve done the leg work by vetting companies and only working with those that create the most effective 100% natural products – and are using economies of scale to reduce their cost.
The goal of this crowdfunder is to raise money to launch a subscription service to these clean products – so they can be delivered to your door when you need them.
The collective buying power achieved through a subscription model will bring the cost of these products down by up to 50%. This will democratise clean products by making them affordable to all, supporting the mainstream shift to a more conscious and environmentally friendly lifestyle.
By switching to clean products and helping to make them more affordable for others, you would help to speed up the change that is already underway – the conscious shift that might just save the world.
We've curated Starter Packs for a Clean Home, Clean Body and Clean Hair, which give you a one-off taste of what our Clean Living subscription service would look like.
These Starter Packs, including details of contents, are listed in the Rewards section to the right.
This is your chance to support our crowdfunder to bring ethical products to mainstream customers while also being rewarded with up to 50% off genuinely ethical and effective products!
Scroll down for other rewards for smaller contributions – you can get great discounts on our MyGreenPod.com Marketplace and reusable, plastic-free coffee cups made from the humble rice husk. Alternatively you can pledge to plant trees or support our campaign with smaller amounts – anything you can spare would be hugely appreciated.
We spend about 90% of our time inside, yet according to the Environmental Protection Agency the air inside a typical house, school or workplace is two to five times more polluted than the air directly outside.
Toxic household products – from cleaners and plug-ins to room sprays – all add to the cocktail of chemicals inside your home.
Household cleaning products often contain ingredients that are toxic to the air, seas and soil – not to mention every single living organism.

While personal care products were once made in the field using simple formulations that biodegraded, they’re now made in the lab.
60-70% of what you put onto your skin sinks into your bloodstream. The foaming agents in toothpastes and aluminium salts in anti-perspirants are just two of the hidden ingredients that contribute to a toxic soup in our bodies.
Research from the Women’s Environmental Network (WEN) reveals that every day, 12.2 million adults – one in every 13 women and one in every 23 men – are exposed to ingredients that are known or probable human carcinogens through the personal care products they use.
In fact, the daily personal care routine of almost all women (94%) leads to a potential exposure to the carcinogenic impurity hydroquinone.
Weleda has been a pioneer of clean beauty and holistic wellbeing for almost 100 years. What started in 1921 as a pharmaceutical lab with its own plant garden is today a world-leading manufacturer of personal care products that are certified Natural by NATRUE.
Responsible dealings with both nature and people have always been part of the company's DNA since Rudolf Steiner articulated his vision of a company completely at the service of human beings and the world as a whole.
Around three-quarters of Weleda's plant ingredients come from organic or biodynamic farming and from certified wild collection.
Nearly all mainstream haircare brands use synthetic polymers – 'liquid plastics' – to create the illusion of glossy hair. This coating on the hair gets washed off and into our soil and sea when you take a shower.
The hair industry is also famed for its use of chemicals, which wreak havoc on the scalp. They’re loaded with SLS, perfume, silicones, detergents and many other unpleasant ingredients.
Using a truly organic shampoo and conditioner changes everything.
These multi-award winning, organic, British-made haircare products work in harmony with your body for ultimate hair and scalp health.

TreeSisters is a global network that donates monthly to fund the restoration of our tropical forests as a collective expression of planetary care. As a feminine leadership and tropical reforestation organisation, TreeSisters exists to call forth the brilliance and generosity of women (and men) everywhere and channel it towards the trees. MyGreenPod Ltd is an independent, family-run UK business, founded by Katie Hill and Jarvis Smith. We investigate and share the real stories behind the brands and people working tirelessly to offer ethical alternatives to mainstream products and services.
Through mygreenpod.com, plus our quarterly magazine supplement distributed with the Guardian, we are the UK’s number one independent ethical lifestyle media company.
Readers of MyGreedPod.com or My Green Pod Magazine will recognise the clean products we've selected as My Green Pod 'Heroes' – the most ethical and effective products we can find in their respective fields. They have been tried, tested, scrutinised – and Jarvis and Katie use them in their own home with their family.
