Instrument Library Update

Hello Everyone,

Thank you all so much for your donations and on-going support for the We Make Music Instrument Library Project!

In exciting news, the first instruments have started being passed out from some of Edinburgh’s libraries :)

We have got the first batch of instruments repaired, catalogued into the libraries systems and started distributing them across the different instrument libraries.

We have also now posted the Thank You Certificates, Badges, and a free download code for the Tinderbox Orchestra / Kathryn Joseph collaboration "The Blood, The Weight, The Weary" to all who opted in for the rewards, so you should receive these soon! If you opted for one of the Live Music rewards you should have received an email too. You can listen to this EP on Bandcamp here too.

Lastly we also wanted to mention that Tinderbox Orchestra are playing 13 shows at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this year (Aug 5-7th, 10-14th, 17-21st)! The show is based in a very exciting new venue for the Fringe at The Old Royal High School. We are offering free tickets to music teachers and anyone who works in music education on the opening weekend (Aug 5th-7th) - if this applies to you or anyone you know, and you would like to come to one of these shows please contact [email protected] and we’ll put you on
the list.

For everyone else, we are also running a 2 for 1 ticket deal on the opening weekend, and would love to see you there if you’d like to come along.

Again, thank you all so much for your support for the libraries. We'll keep working away to get more instruments into libraries, and we are still receiving donations and instruments too, so let's keep the conversation going!
