Museum of Happiness!

Dear delightful supporter,

The Museum of Happiness is funded! (sound of trumpets going wild with me doing the moonwalk)

Getting funded was a special moment for us...

When we hit the target yesterday morning, Vicky and Rosa were teaching a class at the centre and there were tears of joy from both them and the local residents, together with a very generous last minute donor, Natalie, on the phone! What a lovely moment we all contributed towards, together.

I invite each one of you to be really proud of yourselves.

You are a very kind person - please remember that!

We shall be opening our doors to the general public and residents in Europe’s largest homeless hostel by mid-September if all goes to plan!

We’ve got some great stories to share with you about our roller coaster ride to get here - it was like a spiritual journey. We will share them directly via email once we've rested a little!

WHY A STRETCH TARGET?

We have a stretch target to help us upgrade the quality of our Museum design, and offer mindfulness, meditation, yoga and wellbeing classes in more schools and outreach projects, and more discounts for those that can’t afford it.

Every £10 you contribute pays for a happiness class for one child in a school, or someone out of work.

Every £50 you contribute pays for printing a set of happiness displays in the museum.

Every £250 you contribute covers the cost of a set of classes in happiness, gratitude and yoga for a whole group within the Museum.

Every £500 to £1000 you contribute together brings the whole of the Museum of Happiness into a deprived school to ensure they CAN overcome anxiety and depression, and have greater emotional resilience and wellbeing. With so many young people suffering, we need to help as much as we can.

£10 from each of you will take us to over £30k today as we end our fundraiser, and puts us in a good position to launch our museum and to welcome you to come and visit!
