Aim
To raise money to help set up our new cafe in Banbury. We need your help to buy things like some essential kitchen equipment and signage.
Hi, we are Callum, Jane and Baxter and we need your help. Long before baby Baxter was born in January 2021 we began dreaming of starting a mobile coffee business. This was after returning from travelling in Australia and New Zealand and getting the speciality coffee bug.
After getting a few years of working as Barista's under our belts we converted an old van and we started Pavement Coffee Co.
In 2018 we relocated the business to Banbury and in 2019 we began trading from a permanent pitch in People's Park. We haven't looked back since. We love the area and the people who live here and we really like bringing our take on what we think great coffee is.
Although we love our pitch in the park, our dream (and our family) has grown even bigger and we are bursting at the seams with ideas.
We began searching for a premises a while ago but we couldn't find the right space. When the opportunity came up to open up in the museum cafe we knew that this was what we had been waiting for. Being in this space will enable us to do all of the things that we have been imagining for so long.
We want to give Banbury something we think the town deserves - a family friendly cafe that sells great coffee alongside a brunch/lunch menu that is a little bit different.
You will continue to see the home baked cakes and focaccia that we are known for on our stall and we will also be using our own sourdough bread in the recipes.
Our ingredients will be fresh and locally sourced (wherever possible) and we will be looking for the best quality produce.
Not only do we love great food but we have been lucky enough to work in some great cafe's and restaurants. We both have back and front of house experience and we have worked with some inspiring people over the years.
We couldn't have wished for a more beautiful setting than on the canal side. We will be making everything fresh on site including the bread, cakes, salads, sandwiches and brunch. In the future we would like to open in the evening also.
With the money we raise we would like to buy some much needed kitchen equipment. We would also like to give the cafe some love with a lick of paint and some other finishing touches. Hopefully we will raise enough for some additional equipment and to create a small play area for little ones to enjoy.
We have so many ideas, too many to list. We couldn't be more excited!
We have priced up these set up costs and we need about £5000 to get to us started. If we raise more money it will go towards making the food and the space even better for you to enjoy. In return we are offering great rewards for your pledges and our everlasting gratitude!
