Aim

Musa needs your help to get a new prosthetic leg.

Meet Musa!1775578862_whatsapp_image_2026-04-07_at_19-11-12_1.jpeg

Musa is 22 years old, from Sudan, and an active member of our community at Sama.

A year ago, as he was leaving his university in Sudan, a warplane flew overhead and bombed the building. Musa survived the attack, unlike many people around him, but his leg was so badly damaged by shrapnel that he had to have it amputated.

Musa was in hospital for 6 months. He was given a prosthetic leg, but in a country deeply impacted by war, access to quality healthcare is severely limited.

Once he was able to walk again, Musa fled the ongoing conflict and made the dangerous journey through Libya, supported by his brother, in search of safety in Greece.

We at Sama accompanied Musa to many hospital appointments, but he is unable to get a new prosthetic leg on the Greek healthcare system.

So, we are asking for your help!

€600 will buy a medically fitted silicone sleeve for his residual limb.
Until now, Musa has been wearing socks to cushion the pain of his prosthetic.

€2,500 is enough to change the socket of his prosthetic, ensuring a precise fit and easing his discomfort.

€6,000 will buy him an entire new leg!
We are in contact with a compassionate and skilled prosthetist who can design and fit a new leg for Musa using improved methods to help restore his mobility.

Now safe in Greece, Musa is determined to rebuild his life. With a new leg and improved mobility, he aims to find work to support himself and his family in Sudan. In time, he also wishes to continue his education and train as a doctor, so he can one day help others in need.

Thank you so much for your support!
