Who are we?
Mudeford Phoenix G.L.F.C. is a girls and ladies football club that was founded in 2003 who are based in Christchurch. We believe in the importance of children's and women's football development and strive to provide a safe environment for all our players. We are affiliated with the Football Association with a 2-star accreditation.
All of our coaches have been DBS checked to ensure that everyone involved in the club is safeguarded. We believe that with a strong team spirit, hard work, and dedication, our girls and ladies can reach their full potential and have a great experience with us.
We are committed to our players and are passionate about making sure that everyone has the best football experience. Mudeford Phoenix G.L.F.C. is based in Christchurch and has strong ties to the surrounding area having run after-school programmes and creating a safe and social hub for the local community having grown from 20 girl footballers in 2003 to over 150 today.
We have had girls go on to play for higher-level clubs and represent England. We have former players who have taken up refereeing including the assistant referee in last season's FA Cup Final, and also have many girls qualify as coaches.
Our future vision is to keep producing quality female players and coaches who will go on and achieve success in the football world and within our local community.
Why are we crowdfunding?
We believe in supporting our community and providing excellent standards of football at a low cost to parents and carers. This is why we aim to provide kits to our players at a minimal cost, however providing good quality football kits for over 150 players is becoming more costly.
As a club, we are now at the stage where we need to provide a new kit for all of our teams (Under 9s up to our ladies' team) and this is a large undertaking. We have to provide kits for 9 teams as well as Coaches and other volunteers and the cost to do so is substantial - as a club, we need to use fundraising to help with this goal and to help keep girls and women's football thriving on the South Coast.
How we’ll spend the money raised
Mudeford Phoenix would purchase new kits that would look and feel great for our players. We want our teams to be in kit that makes the local community feel proud.
Community impact
Mudeford Phoenix has been built by passionate volunteers from our local community who are committed to providing a safe and inspiring environment for girls and women to enjoy playing grassroots football. We want to showcase what our community is all about and continue to provide a safe space for female footballers where they feel secure and that they can thrive. Mudeford Phoenix volunteers will continue to support grassroots football opportunities throughout the area and will look and feel confident and provide expertise in any new kit provided.
How you can play your part
There are four simple ways to help us reach our target, and make this project a reality.

2. Spread the word. Share our project on your social media pages and tell the world to get behind us! The more people we reach, the more support we will get.
3. Offer rewards. Get involved if you are a local business by donating things we can offer to our supporters. We will give you a shout out!
4. Fundraise for us. If you want to run your own fundraiser – maybe a sponsored activity or similar – use the 'contact project' button at the top of our page to let us know. Setting up your own page only takes a few minutes and you won’t need any bank details. Just a fun idea!
