Mulranny to Manchester: A Celtic Connection

Aim

I'm hoping to raise money to pay my back my musician colleagues for their work as part of this project.

The project is an informal concert at a pub in Manchester with a string quartet and narrator exploring music and stories connected to the Irish history in Manchester. It will cover important figures that might not be well known as well as some lesser known classical music. There will also be arrangements of some traditional Irish music.

As an Irish student in Manchester I always knew that there was a deep rooted connection between the two places, but until I started research for this project I didn't realise how interesting and important the connection was. 

I would love to share this history in an engaging way and being a violinist, I have enlisted the help of a few of my friends to perform at the event. I would love to be able to pay them for their time and dedication.

There are five of us in total but I will not be taking a cut so the money will be split between the four others.
