Aim

In Feb 2023, I am travelling to Moshi to volunteer on the ground with Kijana Kwanza and can deliver your donations :)

I wanted to thank you all for your help and support over recent years as we have funded a number of projects with Kijana Kwanza (Young People First) on the ground to help the young people and orphans of Moshi, Tanzania.

Now that international travel is safe again, in February 2023 I will be travelling for the first time to Moshi, Tanzania to volunteer on the ground.

I will be covering all of my own costs and have set up this page for your donations if you'd like to support our work :)

All donations will directly fund our work, are gift aid eligible and can be allocated for zakaat (please just reference zakaat in your donation).

I will be working with the team on a number of projects including planting trees in our Orchards of Remembrance; developing our plans for a new sustainable farm; and working with vocational students to qualify into new professions to serve the Moshi community including teaching and social work

I will also be delivering donations directly to the children and their guardians to help them prepare for the academic year. Kijana Kwanza care for 120 secondary school students and each of them will require:

School meals (for the year) = £35 per child

Two sets of school uniform = £17 each / £34 per child

One pair of school shoes = £10 per child

12 counter books (these are large hardback exercise books) = £1 each / £12 per child

Pens/Pencils/Sharpener/Rubber = £2 per child

Maths set = £2 per child

Total (per child) = £95 per child

Thank you so much for reading and thank you for your support :)
